Republic soccer boss impressed with Monaghan mineral water company’s expansion plans
Republic of Ireland soccer boss Martin O’Neill enjoyed some of the brightest glory days of his managerial career at the helm of Glasgow Celtic – yesterday in Co Monaghan he was sampling the pure stuff courtesy of our own Celtic warriors!
O’Neill, his star in the ascendant after guiding his Boys in Green to this summer’s European Championship finals in France, was the special guest at the announcement of Celtic Pure’s €5 million plans to extend their operation at Corcreagh through the creation of a new bottling plant that will see peak processing double.
The company says that 60 jobs will be created during the construction phase, while the new development will “secure the future” of the fifty personnel currently employed at the facility and is expected to lead to in excess of 25 new posts.
Yesterday the ‘O’Neill appeal’ was undeniable – the erudite Northern Ireland football man effortlessly eclipsed the others on the guest list, even the contestants in the Cavan/Monaghan General Election contest who bunked off the campaign trail for a time to vie for some of the limelight emanating from the opening of a fresh chapter in the Celtic Pure success story.
The politicians were joined by key customers and suppliers to learn the details of the multi-million expansion by the Monaghan company that is the official water supplier to the Football Association of Ireland.
