The HSE said this week that work is to start on the provision of the Monaghan Primary Care Centre at the St Davnet’s Complex in Rooskey at the end of this month. Planning permission for the development was granted by Monaghan Co Council last year.
The project was initially to proceed at the Monaghan General Hospital site but capacity difficulties at the location forced the HSE to abandon the plans. Instead the former Blackwater House unit at the St Davnet’s Complex is to be refurbished to accommodate the centre, which will have space for two GP practices, a dental treatment facility, therapy facilities, consultation rooms and administration facilities.
