FIGHT CONTINUES TO SAVE RURAL POST OFFICES

THE vice-president of the Irish Postmasters Union, Co. Monaghan-based Mr. Ciaran McEntee from Threemilehouse, has reiterated a call this week to the incoming government to take immediate action to prevent the closure of several post officers throughout the country.
He said that 86 per cent of the population are in favour of Government financial support for Post Offices and the general public want to see more services at their local Post Office.
