The Gardaí have confirmed that they are now conducting a murder investigation following the death in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda on Saturday last of Mr Seamus Bell from Foxfield, Carrickmacross. Mr Bell (36) had been in a serious condition in hospital since January 20, when he was allegedly subjected to an assault on Main Street in Carrickmacross on an occasion when he was out celebrating the birth of his twin daughters Cara and Ava with his partner Edel and other family members.
