COUNCILLOR MCELVANEY TO APPEAR BEFORE STANDARDS IN PUBLIC OFFICE HEARING

Monaghan Co Councillor Hugh McElvaney is to appear before a public hearing of the Standards in Public Office (or SIPO) Commission in September. A media release from the Commission on Friday said that it was holding the public hearing “for the purposes of its investigation into the alleged contraventions of the Ethical Frameworks for the Local Government Service” by Councillor McElvaney.
