A 26-years-old American woman, who was holidaying in Ireland, appeared in court yesterday (Wed) charged with dangerous driving causing the death of a 3-years-old boy in a car accident on the N2 Dublin/Derry Road near Carrickmacross, on Monday evening last, contrary to Section 53(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1961.
An only child, Eoin O’Neill, son of Derek and Rose O’Neill, Rebane, Shantonagh, Castleblayney, was fatally injured on Bank Holiday Monday last, when the Nissan car being driven by his mother was involved in a head-on collision with a Renault car at Annamarron, between Carrickmacross and Ardee.
