Back in June 2023, The Northern Standard brought you a story of an eight-year-old boy (now aged nine), Arseniy Sabanovs, who was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder in 2019. The severity of his condition means, that while he is verbal he cannot effectively communicate. Arseniy was accepted as a patient by a private clinic in Isreal, to undergo a month-long intensive course of treatments designed to help him meet his full potential. However, Arseniy didn’t get to travel and start his treatment last October because insufficient funds had been raised.
With the conflict in Isreal raging, it was not safe for patients to travel to the Beer David Centre of Jewish Medicine in Jerusalem, so the private clinic has temporarily relocated to Armenia. Arseniy lives in rural Newbliss with his parents Anastasija and Alexandrs, who are originally from Latvia. Anastasija, is well known in Monaghan Town, as she runs her own business, Right Size Alterations on Market Street. Alexandrs is a stay-athome dad. Arseniy attends St. Tiarnach’s Primary School and Autism Unit in Clones. His loving parents desperately want their son to receive this life-enhancing treatment and they humbly seek the assistance of our readership and the public in making it….
