Proposals for the restriction of the movement of heavy goods vehicles through certain streets in Monaghan Town are currently being considered, the members of Monaghan Municipal District were informed when they met on Monday. Municipal District Co-ordinator Donal McElwain said the Roads Section of Monaghan Co Council were engaged in ongoing consultations with Transport Infrastructure Ireland and the Gardaí on the matter, and correspondence was due to be issued to local businesses and hauliers.
