CROSS-BORDER fuel trafficking racketeers were targeted this week in a major operation launched by the Revenue Service and gardai on Monday.
Customs officers supported by gardai from the Cavan/Monaghan Division and the Regional Support Unit swooped on two alleged fuel-laundering plants in North Monaghan, close to the South Armagh Border.
Both plants were located at Killyneill, Silverstream, about four kilometres from Monaghan town, and a short distance from the main Monaghan/Armagh Road.
