QUARANTINE SHORT EARNS INTERNATIONAL AWARD FOR MONAGHAN FILM-MAKER

Ardaghey film-maker Colin Peppard has won an award at Argentina’s Desert Light Film Festival for a short film made during the Covid-19 restrictions. Colin directed and starred in So Say All Of US, which tells the story of a man struggling to cope with the experience of extended lockdown. Originally made for a college assignment, the film was selected as winner of the Short Film in Quarantine category at the Argentinian festival. Jury members Eduardo Elli, Ezequiel Yoffe and Pablo Radice (all previous winners of the Best National Feature Film Award at the festival) praised Colin’s work for “its interesting montage, by dosing the information, the relationship between image and sound that is expressive, non-naturalistic, for using photography as the record of memories and….
