Constraints in testing frequency at Cloghan and other locations in the HSE CHO 1 area are being experienced because of limitations in the availability of testing kits and reagent used in laboratories, the health authority said in a statement to the Northern Standard.
The HSE informed us: “As part of the Public Health Emergency response to Covid-19, the HSE established testing centres for Covid-19 in the 9 Community Health care Organisations (CHOs) across the country. “People referred for a Covid- 19 test were offered appointments to attend for a test at a Drive-Thru or walk-in clinic.
“Nationally, by Sunday March 29th, approximately 38,000 people had been offered appointments for testing in Community Testing Centres since the service started on March 16th. “On March 24th a change in the case definition for Covid 19 testing was introduced to ensure that testing was targeted to high risk groups…
