Suspect dies in England as his home is searched
There have been more calls for policing in the border area to be stepped up following the abduction and brutal assault on a director of Quinn Industrial Holdings, Kevin Lunney in September. Mr Lunney has now returned to work at the company’s headquarters in Co. Fermanagh. Meanwhile the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar held a private meeting with the QIH directors on Sunday following his attendance at the Remembrance Sunday service in Ennisikillen.
John McCartin later welcomed the Taoiseach’s interest in the matter.
