An investigation is underway on both sides of the border into a serious assault in County Fermanagh on Tuesday evening, during which a Director of Quinn Industrial Holdings was abducted, badly beaten and then dumped on the side of the road. Sinn Féin Deputy Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin, Chair of the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Justice and Equality, raised the matter of what he said was the horrific attack on Kevin Lunney in the course of yesterday’s meeting of the Justice Committee with the Garda Commissioner Drew Harris.
