– Taoiseach urges Irish companies to adopt the Combilift mantra

Start small. Do well. Go global. This was the mantra for success Taoiseach Leo Varadkar ascribed to Monaghan forklift manufacturer and material handling supplier Combilift when he officially opened their new €50 million global headquarters and manufacturing facility at Annahagh last Thursday. Leo obviously liked the sound of the mantra. “It is why Combilift’s story is so compelling,” he said.
While the Government would continue to try to attract more inward investment to these shores, the Taoiseach pledged, “We also need more Irish companies to follow the Combilift example of start small, do well, go global.” He said: “The same philosophy that has built this company will stand us in good stead for the challenges in the future. These are undoubtedly challenging times for enterprise in the Border community but there are also opportunities and Combilift shows us what can be achieved through dedication, commitment and hard work. “I am so impressed by the phenomenal work you all do to bring revenue into the county. I want to wish the company…
