Minister for Communications Denis Naughten TD was this week due to announce details of a second study of EirGrid’s north-south electricity interconnector project which would address some of the primary concerns of those objecting to the development proceeding through the use of overground pylons.
This was stated by Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage Heather Humphreys TD when she joined fellow Cavan/Monaghan Oireachtas members for a detailed “summit” on the interconnector issue with the members of Monaghan Co Council on Monday morning.
