Belgium’s Ambassador to Ireland hosted a reception at his residence last Thursday for a group of visitors from Geel, a city in the province of Antwerp. They flew in from Brussels and were given a short tour of Dublin city centre on their way to the embassy.
Their route took them past Croke Park and the GPO in O’Connell Street, as well as Raglan Road in Ballsbridge, where the link with Monaghan poet Patrick Kavanagh was explained.
