Tributes were paid this week to former Monaghan County Council Secretary Anthony J (Tony) Murphy, who died last Saturday 6th May. Monaghan Town, died in Tara Winthrop Nursing Home, Swords, Co. Dublin after a long illness.
He is survived by his wife Josephine, his children Nola, Fergal, Neil, Áine, Orlagh and Emer, his sister Vena and Imelda. He was predeceased by his daughters Deirdre and Fiona, as well as his brother Liam and sister Carmel.
