A CARRICKMACROSS family whose three children have been prevented from accessing local school transport have received “heartless treatment” according to local Sinn Fein MEP Matt Carthy yesterday when he highlighted the South Monaghan case as just one of the many cases in which, he claimed, government ministers were to blame over local school transport problems.
The MEP launched a strong attack on the Department of Education and Skills and the Department of Transport over what he described as their “ongoing failures to address the school transport needs of local families”.
In relation to the Carrickmacross case, he described as “heartless” the treatment of the South Monaghan family whose three children were prevented from accessing local school transport.
